The project focuses on modifying a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to improve the inspection, monitoring, and management of reservoirs created by mining activities.

These reservoirs are increasingly being used for recreation, as water sources, or as features of the local landscape. However, they also pose various risks due to unknown seabed geometry, unstable sediments, hydrological changes, and the presence of technical infrastructure.

In many cases, regular monitoring of these sites is difficult or even impossible without specialized underwater equipment.
